The KTM ergos are actually really good, they work both on active riding and relaxed cruising. Reliability: KTM have had their problems, but according to a recent long test report by the German mag Motorrad, they've all been addressed. Also the engine of their 790 was basically as new after 50kkm when they dismantled and inspected it. I have had a few exotic bikes too. That began with a 250 Ducati single, street bike turned dirt bike. Then a 71 Norton Commando. Others were KTM 1190 Adventure, Aprilia Dorsoduro 750, and now my 790 Duke. So far the most miles I have put on an "exotic" is my Duke. I have owned it for a bit more than one year and have just north of 9000 miles on it. Same issue each time, here’s the scenario: Been riding approx 30 minutes, and as I’m shifting from 4-5 and blipping the throttle, the motor cuts off.
